Lo and behold, I have Internet again! : DD Thanks to the move and the Internet-guy who came here to set it up (I have met so few geeky people here it was sweet to see they do exist in Tampere) I'm no longer slave to the University computer class. Which isn't half bad, really, it's free and all, but you can't really nerd comfortably with all these people around.

SO. The flat is nice. Definitely bigger than I remembered. With my table, bookshelf, and bed, I only managed to take a bit over half the space here. I will need another shelf, but that'll fit well next to the old one, and still leaves one corner completely empty. Maybe I should get a couch or something. Anyway. Means that there's also room to house people! : D If you really want to squish together, I bet you could fit 4 to 5 people in the room, though considering there's only one small shower and toilet, it might get a bit crowded. But the kitchen/common room is large, too. We still need a kitchen table, though.

I wish I had a camera, there are so many things I'd like to take pictures of, but no can do. Anyway, I finally got my German flag up on the wall, along with the few posters, drawings, and cards I saved from home. I need to get drawing more, I think, to fill up the space.

Also, because I have 3 separate keys - one to the outer front door, one to the inner front door, and one to the door to my own room - I'm constantly paranoid that I'll somehow lock myself out of somewhere. Which is why I walk around with the whole bunch of keys constantly in my pocket. Not very comfortable, but saves me from the paranoia.

For some inexplicable reason I suddenly got a huge itch to participate in NaNoWriMo. It's something I've always though about for the past five years or so but for which I've never had the time. Not that I have any more time now, and considering the time it takes me to get out a 300-word essay, not very realistic either. But still. It would be something. I'm playing around with the idea of a multilingual story, kinda like DeWitt's The Last Samurai, except not nearly as good.

Speaking of school (not really), but still, some good news! We'll be doing a presentation on the musical Elisabeth for the Introduction course on Tuesday. : D I'm glad my partner found the idea interesting. Not such good luck on the Landeskunde (culture knowledge... or something) course, where we ended up choosing Christmas traditions in German-speaking countries. :/ I'd rather done something with history or, well, just not holiday traditions, but alas, it's group work. Can't always luck out.

Oh wow. This is really getting long. :"D I should probably wrap this up and just try to update more often now that I finally have a steady connection. So, see ya sometime!
